What is the full form of UPSC

UPSC Full Form is Union Public Service Commission, which is the prime agency for many competitive exams of the central government. by these exams, several types of prestigious officers and staff are hired. Manage for choose All India Services and Group A & B service employees, UPSC is an independent premier organization for the recruitment of such employees. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) was settled on 1, October, 1926. The recruitment process requires examination for each post. These exams also are referred to as government officials Examinations(CSE), whereas these are just one quite exam conducted by UPSC


Eligibility for upsc

Nationality

For Upsc candidate nationality must be one of the following:-

1.Nationality of india

2. citizen of nepal or bhutan

3.A person of indian origin who has migrated from pakistan with the intention of permanent settling in india

.

Education qualification

For upsc candidate education qualification must be one of the following:-

1.Degree from central or state university.

2. Degree from distance university.

3.Degree from open university.

4.Degree from any recognized university.


Age

Candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and not have attained the age of 32 years on the 1 year of  august examination

and the age limit relaxation is here:

1.For OBC the upper age limit is 35 years.

2.For SC the upper age limit is 37

3.For Defence family background candidate upper age limit is 40 years.

4.For pwd candidate the upper age is 37 years.


Number of attempts

Number of attempts for upsc candidate like general category-6,OBC category -9, and the SC category is unlimited upto 37 years.


Upsc exam

GS Paper -1 comprises 100 questions of two marks each. It must be noted that there's negative marking for wrong answers in both the papers. Each wrong answer would cost the candidate 1/3rd of the marks awarded for every question. Questions from major National and International Events, Economy, Geography, Polity, History, Environment & Ecology and Science & Technology will be asked in this paper. The marks scored during this paper are going to be counted for preparing the list of candidates that might appear for the Civil Services Mains Examination.


CSAT Paper or Paper -2 comprises 80 query from quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, reading comprehension, etc. A candidate, so as to qualify during this paper, must score 33% of the marks i.e., 67 out of 200 marks. However, this is just a qualifying paper and the marks scored will not be counted while appear at the list of candidates who would be allowed to take up the next level of examination.
